The Battle Map

With complex settings, it's often hard to know where you are in relation to everything happening around you without a map - or is it? To some, having a battle map is restrictive to the imagination, yet to others it's an absolute Godsend. So I'm curious - do you prefer the use of a Battle Map?

I don't like battle maps

I like quick-drawn maps by the GM only when I need them

I like a battle map, but only during combat

I like a battle map available all the times, for reference

I'd like it if the whole game took place on the battle map
